Pregnant Kate Middleton Knew Severe Morning Sickness Was Possible

The Duchess of Cambridge, who announced that she's expecting another child with Prince William earlier today, is currently being tended to at Kensington Palace for extreme morning sickness. But a source tells E! News that Kate knew there was a chance she'd suffer the same complications as those she dealt with during her pregnancy with Prince George, and opted to deal with it.

Prince George is not going to be an only child for long — the toddler will soon have a baby sister or brother to share his fancy digs at Kensington Palace.
British royal officials said Monday that Prince William and the duchess of Cambridge, the former Kate Middleton, are expecting their second child.
For the second time, Kate is being treated for acute morning sickness in the early phases of her pregnancy.

"This bout of sickness has come on very fast and Kate's gone from feeling great to feeling terribly ill very quickly," says the source. "They had thought that she might be lucky and not suffer it this time, but they knew before they decided to have another baby that it was a possibility. Kate's very practical and takes everything in her stride and decided that she'd manage to cope and just get on with it if it happened again."

The first time she was so ill she required hospitalization. This time, she is being treated by doctors at her residence in Kensington Palace. She canceled a planned engagement in Oxford to rest and receive medical care.
Prince William told well-wishers in Oxford that Kate should be over the worst of her symptoms in a few weeks.
“She wishes she could be here,” he said.
The new baby, boy or girl, will become fourth in line to the throne, pushing Prince Harry to fifth. George, who is 13 months old, is third and likely to become Britain’s monarch one day. William is second in line, while his father, Prince Charles, is first.

The insider, who notes that they believe Middleton is 10 weeks along, continues, "Whilst it's terrible luck that Kate's so unwell with Hyperemesis Gravidarum yet again, they're hoping she'll be on the mend in no time and they are overjoyed at the news. They are so excited that George will be getting a younger brother or sister next April and Kate's just bravely fighting through this unwell stage under the guidance of palace doctors."
Additionally, "Kate and William unofficially moved to Amner Hall earlier this summer and they've been there for much of her pregnancy so far. It is their countryside home and she can relax and go for walks through the fields and woods with Lupo in the country air, which is a real tonic for her.

With Hyperemesis Gravidarum, vomiting becomes so excessive that pregnant women can become dehydrated and start to lose weight due to inadequate nutrition, Dr. Amos Grunebaum, director of obstetrics at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, told Today in December 2012. If not treated properly with intravenous fluids and anti-nausea medicine, Hyperemesis Gravidarum can be life-threatening to pregnant women and their fetuses, Dr. Grunebaum explained.

The Fast & Furious 6 actress didn’t hold back with the details after insisting she doesn’t pick sides in the bedroom when the lights go out.

Explaining her tomboy act, the star continued: ‘I play a butchy girl all the time, so they assume I’m a lesbo. I’ve gone both ways. I do as I please. I am too f***ing curious to sit here and not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks.’

Tom Clancy, author of Hunt for Red October and Patriot Games, dies aged 66

Tom Clancy, whose complex, adrenaline-fuelled military novels made him one of the world’s best-selling and best-known authors, died on Tuesday in a hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He was 66.
Ivan Held, the president of G.P. Putnam’s Sons, his publisher, did not provide a cause of death.
Clancy's death was announced by The New York Times, who reported that the author's publicist had broken the news. Clancy's UK publisher, Penguin, subsequently confirmed that he had died

Clancy, whose books sold more than 100 million copies and spawned a vast array of film and videogame adaptations, died in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, his publisher Penguin said.
Penguin gave no cause of death, while US media reports said Clancy died at Baltimore's Johns Hopkins Hospital.
"I'm deeply saddened by Tom's passing," said David Shanks, a Penguin executive who had worked with Clancy from the start of his writing career through the upcoming Command Authority, which is due out in December.
"He was a consummate author, creating the modern-day thriller, and was one of the most visionary storytellers of our time.

Clancy arrived on best-seller lists in 1984 with The Hunt for Red October. He sold the manuscript to the first publisher he tried, the Naval Institute Press, which had never bought original fiction.
A string of other best-sellers soon followed, including Red Storm Rising, Patriot Games, The Cardinal of the Kremlin, Clear and Present Danger, The Sum of All Fears and Without Remorse.

Clancy had said his dream had been simply to publish a book, hopefully a good one, so that he would be in the Library of Congress catalogue. Four of his books, The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, and The Sum of All Fears were later made into movies, with a fifth based on his desk-jockey CIA hero, Jack Ryan, set for release later this year.

Prolific writer: A selection from Tom Clancy's body of work.

Born in Baltimore on April 12, 1947 to a mailman and his wife, Clancy entered Loyola College as a physics major, but switched to English as a sophomore, saying later that he wasn't smart enough for the rigours of science.
Ironically, his novels carried stiff doses of scientific data and military detail.
After graduation in 1969, he married his wife Wanda and joined her family's insurance business, all the while scribbling down ideas for a novel.
In 1979, Clancy began Patriot Games, in which he invented his hero, CIA agent Jack Ryan. In 1982, he put it aside and started The Hunt For Red October, basing it on a real incident in November 1979, in which a Soviet missile frigate called the Storozhevoy attempted to defect.

Desperation takes over' waiting for The Bachelor Tim Robards

RIVALRY is rife as Bachelor Tim Robards continues to pluck fallen beauty after fallen beauty from the bunch.
But is it any wonder, given the remaining nine bachelorettes have to fight tooth and nail for a mere five minutes with their man?
One contestant, 26-year-old Anna, was the lucky lady to snag a kiss from Robbards during last night's episode but says she waited a whole two weeks to score some one-on-one time.
"I had been locked up in the Bachelor house for two weeks and I hadn't been on a single date or a group date so this was my first one since my one-on-one in the Blue Mountains," she told news.com.au today. "I just really wanted to get out of the house at that point."

I've been asked so many times that I've forgotten the real answer as to why I went on The Bachelor.
I think if any of us contestants are being completely honest with ourselves, wanting to get our mugs on TV had to be a small part of why we entered. Looking for true love … really? I think the odds are higher of finding a match on a dating website than the 25:1 ratio in The Bachelor mansion.

For me it was a kind of social experiment. I've found myself single at 25 with no real experience at dating, and I wanted to see if I actually could open up and hit it off with someone. Turns out no, I couldn't!
Looking for a real date ... model and former Fairfax journalist Ash Crabbe.
While filming The Bachelor, all the 'Bachelorettes' lived together around the clock in a mansion that looked like it was from the set of The Bold and the Beautiful. For our part, we were dressed by Channel Ten stylists only when the cameras rolled for the rose ceremony.

If you didn't get invited on a date, you didn't leave the house. So being cooped up inside is all that viewers have seen of me for the past two weeks; it's enough to drive anyone crazy. Perhaps my unwillingness to talk emotionally on camera, or most likely because I avoided saying complimentary things about Tim Robards ("Where did those muscles come from?", "I love your suit today Tim") meant I didn't get invited on a date between Episode 3, where we went to the sand dunes, to last night's Episode 6, which was also the night I had to say goodbye to the house.

While the premise of the show is for Tim to get to know our real personalities, you have to fight for the small amount of time with him to ensure that happens. There are a lot of conversations with Tim that haven't been aired; he'd speak to girls individually at the cocktail parties for example.
Elimination time .. The Bachelor's Tim Robards clearly doesn't like direct questions.
In these moments, you do feel a little like it's a job interview or a speed date. With cameras in your face.
I would constantly be unsure of how much to
